BLACKJACK
Beat the Dealer with 21
Blackjack is the game where strategy, skill, and a little bit of luck come together. It is not for nothing the most played casino card game in the world. Unlike pure games of chance, such as slots, in Blackjack you actually have an influence on the outcome of your hand by making the right decisions. At Zombillion Casino, we offer an unparalleled selection of Blackjack tables, suitable for both the cautious player and the high-stakes zombie hunter.
The goal is clear, but the execution requires nerves of steel: beat the dealer by getting a hand value closer to 21, without going over (a 'bust'). A natural Blackjack (an Ace and a 10-value card) traditionally pays out 3:2. If you use perfect basic strategy, the house edge in Blackjack is one of the lowest in the entire casino, often less than 0.5%.
Choose a lightning-fast round on one of our virtual (RNG) tables, ideal for practicing your strategies and playing at your own pace. Or take a seat in the thrilling Live Casino. Here you will meet our professional, human dealers in real-time. Play at classic tables, exclusive VIP tables with very high betting limits, or try the innovative Lightning Blackjack, where lightning strikes add random multipliers that can explosively increase your winning hands. Grab your cards, split, double, and dominate the tables at Zombillion!
The Basic Rules of Blackjack
-
1
Betting: Place your bet in the box on the table before the cards are dealt.
-
2
Dealing: You receive two face-up cards. The dealer usually gets one face-up card and one face-down card (hole card).
-
3
Hit or Stand: Choose 'Hit' to ask for an extra card to get closer to 21, or 'Stand' to keep your current hand. If you go over 21, it's a 'Bust' and you lose your bet.
-
4
The Dealer: After all players have taken their turn, the dealer reveals his face-down card. The dealer must usually draw cards (hit) until reaching at least 17 and stand on 17 or higher.
Card Values
To reach 21, you need to know exactly what each card is worth. The suits (hearts, spades, diamonds, clubs) have no influence on the outcome in Blackjack.
Cards 2 through 10
These cards are worth exactly their face value.
Face Cards (Jack, Queen, King)
All face cards are consistently worth 10 points.
The Ace
The most flexible card. Can be worth 1 or 11 points, depending on what is most favorable for your hand.
Advanced Moves: Double, Split & Surrender
Double Down
If you have a strong starting hand (often a 9, 10, or 11), you can double your original bet. You will then receive exactly one more card, after which your turn ends. Very powerful against a weak dealer face-up card (like a 5 or 6).
Split
Do you have two cards of the same value (e.g., two 8s or two Queens)? Then you can split them into two separate hands. You place an additional bet equal to the first. Tip: Always split Aces and 8s. Never split 10s (20 is a winning hand).
Insurance & Surrender
If the dealer's up card is an Ace, you can place an 'Insurance' bet against the dealer having Blackjack. Mathematically, this is often a bad bet. 'Surrender' costs you half your bet, useful with a hopeless hand like 16 against a dealer's 10.
Frequently Asked Questions about Blackjack
What is 'Basic Strategy' in Blackjack?
Basic strategy is a mathematically proven system (often shown in a chart) that tells you exactly what the best action is (Hit, Stand, Double, Split) based on your cards and the dealer's up card. Consistently using this drastically minimizes the house edge.
Can I play Blackjack for free at Zombillion?
Yes, many of our virtual (RNG) Blackjack games have a 'Demo' or 'Play for Fun' mode. This is the perfect way to learn the rules and practice basic strategy without risking real money. Note: Live Casino tables do require real money/crypto bets.
Does card counting work online?
In online virtual Blackjack games, the cards are shuffled after every hand by a Random Number Generator, making card counting impossible. In Live Casinos as well, shoes with multiple decks are used and changed halfway through (cut card), making card counting extremely difficult. It is better to focus on perfect basic strategy.
